Since I launched TFSBuild.com – the Team Build & MSBuild Recipes site earlier this year, it’s been averaging ~50 visits a day.
There’s some great recipes up now thanks to some contributors like dmcewing, Michael Ruminer, Martin Woodward, Mike Douglas and Eugene Zakhareyev.
- Keeping the Build Number and Assembly Version in sync
- Build and Assembly versioning (alternate to above using SDC Tasks)
- WiX MSI Setup Package
- .NET 1.1 Applications
- Building Java Applications
- Deploy MSIs from TFS Build
- Running Unit Tests without a Test List
- Deploying Web Applications to IIS
- Copying Files From DropLocation or Similar Location
- Building Sandcastle Documentation
Since I launched OzTFS.com – the TFS Mailing List in September 2006, it’s been steadily climbing to almost 350 subscribers.
And while the average number of messages per month was ~57, the busiest month by far was May 2007. As Chuck mentions, the great thing about the list is that the signal/noise ratio is extremely good.
By looking at the archives, I can’t really pin it down to any one particular event or announcement – it was just a busy month.
If you want to get involved in the Team Foundation Server community, there’s plenty of options:
- Subscribe to the blogs of Team System MVPs
- Subscribe to the blogs of the Team System development teams
- Subscribe to the monthly TFS Times newsletter
- Subscribe to the Radio TFS podcast
- Have a look at VSTSSearch.com – a custom search of known VSTS resources
- Look around the MSDN Forums for Team System, and of course
- Sign up to the OzTFS.com mailing list and share your questions & thoughts with others.
