Team Explorer 2008 (aka TFS Client) download

November 23, 2007 at 6:14 pm | In Team Foundation Server | 1 Comment

To connect to Team Foundation Server, you must run a separate installer for Team Explorer. This installer is located in the X:\TFC\ folder on BOTH the Team Suite 2008 media and the Team Foundation Server 2008 media.

However, since CodePlex use TFS in the backend, Team Explorer has been made available as a free download since May 2006.

With the recent release of Visual Studio Team System 2008, Team Explorer 2008  is now available as a free download.

When’s the next Rosario CTP due?

November 22, 2007 at 10:46 pm | In TFS Rosario | No Comments

“Rosario” is the code name for the version of VSTS that follows VSTS2008. There is already a CTP VPC of this release available (here).

There’s nothing public I can tell you of when to expect the next Rosario CTP. But it is being called Rosario CTP10 or the official name would be Visual Studio Team System Code Name “Rosario” November 2007 CTP if they follow the same conventions as the August CTP.

So one can only speculate that it should be around November 2007 :).
