Chuck leaves Oz for VSTS team

For those of you who don’t know him, Charles "Chuck" Sterling is a Developer Platform Evangelist (DPE) for Microsoft Australia. What does that mean? It’s kind-of like marketing, but it’s more grassroots. Him and the other Australian evangelists are instrumental in getting user groups, TechEd AU, ReMix and Roadshows happening.

It’s been known for a few months now that Chuck is heading back with his wife to the States. What wasn’t certain is when he was going or what job he’d be doing.

It’s now official, he’s leaping off to the states on the 29th-Feb next year and this is what he’s doing:

My title will be Program Manager and I will be helping Jeff with connecting the VSTS development team with the folks using Visual Studio Team System - be it Testers, Project Managers and of course Developers through communications like user groups, forums, distribution lists etc

Chuck - Thanks for helping to build a vibrant Australian .NET community over the past 6 years and I look forward to all the great ideas you have for the worldwide VSTS community. See you in Redmond at the MVP Summit :)
