Team Explorer (aka TFS Client) - now a free download!
May 22, 2006 at 10:14 pm | In Team Foundation Server |This is excellent news from the Team System Blog:
Team Explorer is the client part of Team Foundation Server. It’s like a mini version of Visual Studio 2005 that gives you access to TFS. It’s now available as a free download (246mb)!
So what good is a TFS client without TFS? Microsoft launched CodePlex last week, which is GotDotNet on steriods with “free, hosted TFS for open or shared source development”. The other option is to download the 180–day trial edition, but I hope you have some serious hardware to run it.
